CDL-A Regional Company Driver – Chemicals (Tanker) | Northgate, OHSummaryJoin a transportation leader with more than 80 years of experience serving customers across North America. We’re hiring a CDL-A Regional Company Driver to haul general chemicals in a tanker operation with steady freight, strong weekly earnings, and home time that supports life outside of work. If you take pride in safe, compliant driving and want stable, consistent work with a company that invests in its drivers, we’d like to meet you.Pay & Earning Potential• Mileage Pay: $0.70 CPM• Average Weekly Gross: $2,000–$3,000 (based on route, miles, and operational needs)Schedule & Home Time• Regional routes with excellent home time• Out 3–4 nights per week• Weekend work required; typically home for the weekend (based on lane/customer needs)Freight & Work Details• Freight Type: General Chemical (Tanker)• Customer Base: Contracted and dedicated customers• Work: Steady, consistent loads and reliable lanesKey Responsibilities• Operate a Class A tractor-trailer with a strong focus on safety, professionalism, and customer service.• Safely pick up, transport, and deliver general chemical tanker loads while following site-specific procedures and PPE requirements.• Complete bills of lading (BOL), delivery receipts, shipping papers, and any required customer or company documentation accurately.• Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT and FMCSA requirements.• Maintain accurate Hours of Service records and follow DOT/FMCSA E-log rules and company policies.• Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections; report defects or maintenance concerns promptly.• Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers to support on-time pickups and deliveries and minimize service disruptions.• Submit load documents and delivery paperwork promptly in accordance with company procedures.• Maintain a professional, respectful demeanor with customers, shippers/receivers, and internal teams.Required Qualifications (Must-Have)• Valid Class A CDL (CDL-A).• Current DOT medical card.• Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience.• Tanker (N) endorsement.• Hazmat (H) endorsement (or X endorsement).• Strong safety record: no major violations or crashes in the past 7 years.• No suspensions or accidents in the last 3 years.• Ability to work a regional schedule that includes weekend work as needed.Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)• 1+ year of chemical tanker experience.Benefits & Perks• Paid holiday and vacation time• Medical, dental, and vision insurance• Life and disability insurance• Employee Assistance Program (EAP)• Flexible Spending Accounts (Health & Dependent Care)• 401(k) with company match (fully vested after 3 years)Work Environment & Safety CommitmentThis role involves hauling chemical tanker freight and requires consistent attention to safety, compliance, and customer procedures.
