The Arc Oneida-Lewis, a pioneer in championing individuals with disabilities, invites you to step into the role of a CDL Truck Driver!ABOUT THE ROLE:The Arc Oneida-Lewis Chapter is seeking a CDL A Truck Driver position to join our Business Enterprises team! This is a local driving position covering multiple counties utilizing a tractor trailer provided by the employer. Primary responsibility is the transport and delivery of items required for production and finished products to customer locations. Operate equipment when necessary to load and unload the truck. Maintain detailed records in compliance with employer, state, federal and DOT regulatory policies and procedures. Assist in warehouse and supervision of an assigned production area when not driving the truck. Responsibilities:Transport and deliver product and materials to assigned locations. Ensure all records for transport, delivery and product transfer is recorded and presented accurately.Ensure accuracy of bill of lading to match number of pallets and/or product on trailer. Must note information including product damage, packaging, quantities, and quality. Provide exceptional customer service to all customers and staff.Maintain truck and ensure it is clean inside and out.Perform routine vehicle maintenance inspections on tractor trailer and equipment to make recommendations for maintenance needs. Keep and track information. Ensure vehicle is road worthy for each trip. When needed, operate forklift and power pallet jack in warehouse to load, unload, and move pallets.Ensure compliance with employer, state, federal and DOT regulatory policies and procedures.Maintain good driving habits and comply with all NYS DOT and NYSD Motor Vehicle Laws.Assist warehouse and production with preparation of freight for delivery.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED2+ years of commercial driving experience preferred.Driver must have a clean driving record and a valid CDL A license.Must be familiar with DOT rules and regulations.Local delivery experience preferred.Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.PAY & PERKS:The pay range for this position is $21.00/hr.  Apply now for a fun and energetic environment where you can showcase your driving skills and customer-centricity.
