Job Description

Location: Oklahoma City, OK (On-site)Pay: $32.00–$37.00/hour + potential annual bonusSchedule: Full-time (OTR / non-local routes)Type: Permanent

Overview

We are seeking experienced CDL A Truck Drivers to support the testing and operation of advanced autonomous trucking technology. In this role, you will safely operate commercial vehicles while hauling freight and contributing to the development of next-generation self-driving systems.

This is a unique opportunity to combine professional driving with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class A commercial trucks on public roads during testing and pilot operations
  • Haul commercial freight between customer locations and meet points
  • Monitor vehicle performance and provide detailed feedback on system behavior
  • Use internal tools (smartphone/tablet) to log assignments, routes, and test results
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, DOT, and FMCSA regulations
  • Perform and support vehicle inspections and ensure operational readiness
  • Remain alert and attentive during extended periods of autonomous operation
  • Uphold strict safety standards at all times

Schedule & Work Details

  • OTR (Over-the-Road) driving – not local routes
  • Flexible schedule depending on testing and freight timelines
  • Typical hours when not traveling: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM + overtime
  • Travel required across multiple states, potentially for multiple weeks at a time
  • May include overnight runs depending on freight and testing schedules
  • Must be able to work up to 5 consecutive days, including varied shifts

Requirements

  • Valid CDL A license with Air Brake endorsement
  • Minimum 3+ years of Class A driving experience
  • Clean driving record
  • Experience with ELDs (Electronic Logging Devices) and vehicle inspections
  • Strong understanding of OSHA, DOT, and FMCSA regulations
  • Ability to operate sleeper cab trucks and work extended routes
  • Willingness to travel frequently across states
  • Ability to pass:
    • DOT Physical and maintain Medical Examiner’s Certificate
    • Background check and employment verification
    • Drug & alcohol screening (including FMCSA Clearinghouse requirements)
  • Completion of sleep apnea screening within required timeframe
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills (smartphone/tablet usage)
