Job Description

Callaway County Road & Bridge is committed to providing efficient and quality road maintenance and construction to Callaway County residents. We work as a team to maintain county roads and complete road improvement projects that will progress our local infrastructure for our friends and neighbors. Are you ready to join our team?

The Callaway County Road & Bridge Department is accepting applications for a full-time Maintenance Worker I / CDL Driver position.

Callaway County Road & Bridge is located at 5901 County Road 302 in Fulton, MO 65251. The normal hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:00am - 3:30pm. However, emergency situations, such as inclement weather, may require employees to perform outside of normal working hours.

The starting salary range for this position is $32,000 $33,280 annually ($15.38 $16.00 per hour) with a full benefits package, including free health insurance, two retirement programs, paid vacation/sick/holiday leave, free life insurance, and more.

Responsibilities

The job duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

Operating a single axle or tandem axle dump truck.
Operating small to large sized motor vehicles and a variety of equipment to haul materials and support construction, repair, maintenance, and replacement of County roads.
Performing snow removal activities.
Mowing along County roads.
Assisting with loading, securing, and unloading materials and equipment.
Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment; referring defects or repairs to supervisor.
Receiving special assignments from Road & Bridge Foreman.
Other duties, as needed.

Requirements

Applicant must possess a valid Class B CDL with Air Brake endorsement.
Applicant must pass a pre-employment drug screen
Applicant must be authorized to drive a commercial vehicle by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
