Job Description
Job Title: CDL DriverJob Type: Full-TimeSUMMARYCDL Driver will Drive trucks with up to 18-wheeler capacity, transporting materials and equipment to and from specified destinations. Other duties may be assigned based on business needs of the location.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for making sure truck is loaded and secured properlyResponsible for the weight of shipmentsResponsible for vehicle maintenance, security, and cleanlinessEnsure truck has proper and current inspectionsComply with all D.O.T. requirementsMaintain driver qualification and driving recordsKeep all paperwork in order and ensure all transactions are documentedDrive courteously when in company truckMake all deliveries on time while maintaining safe drivingRepresent the company in a respectable manner whenever in DHI uniformLoad and unload truck as requiredWork in yard and field as needed by supervisorMust understand and comply with all safety rules and company policiesPerform various other duties, including but not limited to transfer operator, fuel runner, yard maintenance, equipment maintenance, job rig up, frac tank delivery, and other activities as assignedCompetent with tractor trailers and all equipmentEnsure work is performed in compliance with company safety standardsPerform assignments efficiently to ensure deliveries are accurate and secureQUALIFICATIONS1+ years of experience as a CDL A driverCDL A licenseHigh School diploma/GEDTanker and HazMat endorsement preferredWinch truck experience preferredExperience in operating skid steer preferredMeet all Federal Motor Carrier D.O.T. requirements and safety qualificationsCurrent D.O.T. medical cardAbility to read and interpret driving routes, safety rules, sales tickets, operating instructions, and procedure manualsExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to thrive in a team environmentCDL certification from accredited driving school and one year of similar driving experience (experience may be substituted)Experience in the energy industryBENEFITSMedical, dental, and vision coverage in addition to life and disability insurance plansPaid Vacation DaysRetirement and Savings (401K) planWORK SCHEDULEThis position requires 40 hours per week and the willingness to work additional hours when neededThe position will be scheduled on a rotational work schedule of 4 days on and 4 days off, 6 days on and 2 days off, or any other schedule that meets business needsWORK ENVIRONMENTThis position works outside in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and coldRegularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditionsFrequently exposed to fumes or airborne particlesOccasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and high, precarious placesNoise level is usually lowSAFETYEach DHI employee is responsible, professional, and accountable for conducting their job tasks in a safe and healthy manner. Employee responsibilities include performing your job in accordance with Health Safety Security & Environmental (HSSE) philosophy, standards, programs, rules, and permits. Employees must take necessary precautions to protect themselves and others in the work area from injury and health hazards. Employees are expected to report all incidents to a Manager or Person in Charge (PIC) and to the appropriate field HSE coordinator.
