Job Description
Glen-Gery is seeking a reliable, experienced, and safety-conscious CDL Driver / Heavy Equipment Operator to support daily operational needs. This position requires operating CDL-class vehicles and various types of heavy equipment as part of general business operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate CDL-class vehicles safely and effectively
- Operate heavy equipment as needed
- Assist with loading and unloading materials
- Support general operational and yard/warehouse activities
- Maintain equipment through daily checks and reporting issues
- Follow all company safety and housekeeping practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organizational, basic math, and computer skills
- Ability to safely operate heavy equipment and CDL-class vehicles
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Safety focused
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma, GED, or Technical Trade
- One to two years of experience with material handling, driving, or equipment operation preferred
- CDL Class A with Air Brakes required
