Position Summary

Operates a truck that transports cargo to and from specified destinations. Prepare, receive and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods to ensure timely service. Provides shop support and performs shop tasks in addition to transportation duties.

Primary Responsibilities

• Load, secure and unload cargo.
• Maintain radio or telephone contact with dispatcher to receive delivery or pick up instructions or to receive notice of changes in scheduled delivery or pick up.
• Maintain logs of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations.
• May be responsible for vehicle maintenance and presentation.
• Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Prepares, receives, and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods to ensure timely service.
• Must be eligible to drive under RK's insurance policy.
• Must be able to secure loads, able to spot and load trucks with material handlers
• Help load trucks as this is not just a driving position, you will be working with the team preloading and moving materials in yards when not on the road
• Grind parts.
• Housekeeping.
• Accurate time recording.
• Train on equipment.
• Assist other employees as needed.
• Clean parts.
• Handle materials.
• Other duties as assigned
• Experience with Motive a plus

Accountability

• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• All employees are accountable for safety and health and are empowered to stop work if an unsafe condition is present. Employees should immediately notify their supervisor so that the hazard may be corrected.
• Must be eligible to drive under RK's insurance policy
• Must hold valid CDL Class A.

Minimum Physical Requirements and Accountability

• Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy and hazardous areas.
• Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations.
• Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.
• Work in all types of weather.
• Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools.
• Ability to lift, move, and/or carry 50 lbs.
