Job Description

Location: Millbury-257 SW Cutoff Route 20-3364, MA, USA

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented CDL Class B Driver to join our client's team in the logistics sector. In this role, you will contribute to the efficient and safe delivery of materials, perform warehouse duties, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

Drive a flatbed truck (automatic, no trailer) for 75% of the time.
Perform warehouse duties such as stocking, staging, and pulling orders for 25% of the time.
Load and unload materials, ensuring they are properly secured.
Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) standards and regulations.
Communicate effectively with the supervisor throughout the day.
Assist in the warehouse as necessary and represent the company in a professional manner.

Requirements

Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with at least one year of experience driving the class of vehicles assigned.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and experience in loading/unloading materials.
Forklift certification is preferred or willingness to obtain after initial training.
Must be 21 years or older and hold the required county-issued self-certification designation of non-excepted interstate.

Preferred Qualifications

Electronic logging experience is a plus.
Previous flatbed driving experience, although training will be provided for those without it.

Salary & Benefits

Pay range of $25 to $27 per hour, with a potential increase upon full-time conversion.
Home daily with no weekend work.
Potential for longer-term employment with an increase in pay and benefits once converted to full-time.
Benefits include 401k, insurance, PTO, and more once converted to Ferguson's employment.
