CDL Driver

Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and dependable CDL Driver |Local to join our Shipping & Receiving team. As a CDL Driver, you are responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently within designated routes. This is a local/regional driving role in which you will be home every night.

Responsibilities:

• Operate commercial vehicle for local deliveries, ensuring timely arrival.
• Safely load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of materials.
• Navigate designated routes while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and logs as required by company policies.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain high level of communication with dispatch, yard personnel, and supervisors.
• Demonstrate proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service during interactions with customers at delivery points.
• Recognize and adhere to best practices for safety.
• Other functions and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Must have current and valid Class A CDL.
• Must possess a strong understanding of route driving principles.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in truck driving roles required.
• No serious tickets or accidents in the past 5 years and no DWI/DUI in the last 10 years.
• Familiarity with operating tractor/trailer required.
• Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining delivery logs and records.
• Safety and quality focused.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills.
• Must be dependable.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively with little supervision required.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
