Description
The Mixing Machine Operator utilizes assorted equipment to blend ingredients into juice product for processing while following exact product specifications and recipes. This is a full-time, 1st shift, non-exempt position.
Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate and tend equipment to blend juice based on specific formulations; and appropriately record within batch sheet
- Operate computer control panel, or manually open valves, and initiate flow of juice through pasteurizing equipment into designated tanks
- Ensure compliance to plant policies and Federal and State regulations including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)/Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls (HARPC) and document pasteurization process
- Perform periodic tests to ensure product quality and adherence to formulation
- Document test results; communicate deviations to management and co-workers
- Perform periodic change over and clean up procedures; utilizing the Cleaning in Place (CIP) system to include thorough documentation of all processes and procedures
- Stage ingredients prior to start of blend utilizing standard operating procedures for blending processes
- Report actual usage in the Business Planning and Control System (BPCS) software system and resolve any variances in distribution
- Perform physical ingredient inventory as needed/directed
- Maintain temperature records in refrigerated warehouse and tempering logs
- Adhere to quality and safety standards
- Other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Pay:
$22+/hr, wage based on experience; OT as required
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Previous manufacturing, warehouse or retail work experience preferred but will train the right candidate!
- Must be detail oriented and quick learner
- Must be able to effectively communicate
- Ability to follow instructions and work within deadlines
- Ability to work alone or as a member of a team, good cooperative skills
- Ability to communicate verbally and by written reports
