Job Description
Census Data Entry/Insurance Verification Clerk
Job Type: Full-time
- Monday – Friday
- 9:00am -5:00pm
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
- Input Daily Census
- Update authorizations for HMO’s
- Insurance verification
- Data Entry of Lab, Xray, Pharmacy invoices
- Working knowledge of Medical billing and Insurance coverages
- Communication with Admissions dept and Billing dept regarding Payer changes
- Familiar with Epaces, NGS Connex, Availity
- High Efficiency using Excel
- Attention to Detail
- Experience in the Medical Billing field required, Nursing Home Billing preferred.
- Sending communications to patients/families
- Filing & Scanning
Additional Skills:
- Computer Skills Required
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook a must
- Confidence talking on the phone to patients and insurance representatives
- Good writing skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment without getting distracted
- Self-starter but able to work on a team and take direction
