Central Supply (Csr)- PRN

Cedarbrook Senior Care & Rehab is seeking a Part-time/PRN Central Supply Technician for our Allentown locations.

• 20 hours max/week

General Definition:

A position in this class ensures that necessary supplies and equipment are available to the residents. Washes, cleans, and disinfects equipment and supplies for reuse; wraps and sterilizes supplies; inspects, assembles, and packages materials for sterilization; stores and distributes supplies to designated areas of the facility to be used in resident care; receives and stores supplies ordered from outside the facility; dispenses items according to unit requests; monitors and records parameters of steam sterilization in Central Supply on a daily and weekly basis.

Typical Examples of Work:

• Cleans and sterilizes equipment; assists with ordering supplies and maintaining inventory ensures that equipment is cleaned and maintained in good working order; ensures that nursing units are stocked on a daily basis. Assists with feeding.
• Performs related work as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Basic knowledge of goals, objectives, methods, techniques, and equipment used in the area of specialization.
• Ability to maintain records as indicated.
• Ability to learn specific practices, procedures, and operations of related specialty.
• Basic knowledge of sterilization and cleaning techniques.
• Basic knowledge of inventory maintenance.
• Ability to lift, support, and maneuver supplies and equipment.

Acceptable Training and Experience:

• Education equivalent to completion of the tenth school grade.
• Minimum one-year Central Supply experience or any equivalent combination of acceptable training and experience.
• Nursing Home/ LTC Experience preferred but not required.
