Nestled in San Francisco's Excelsior neighborhood on a nine-acre campus, the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living (SFCJL) is a center of excellence in providing a continuum of care. This includes the Frank Residences, offering luxurious assisted living and memory care services; the Jewish Home and Rehabilitation Center, featuring long-term skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation, and an acute psychiatric unit specialized in mental healthcare for older adults over age 55; and the Jewish Home and Senior Living Foundation.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Central Supply Clerk is responsible for receiving, organizing, and distributing supplies to support resident and patient care operations across the campus. This role ensures accurate inventory control, timely response to nursing department supply requests, and proper maintenance of storage areas to maintain efficiency, safety, and compliance with organizational standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive all deliveries at designated location(s).
- Verify deliveries against invoices, inspect items for damage, and report discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Store all deliveries in designated bins and shelving areas.
- Monitor and process supply requests from the nursing department.
- Review incoming supply requests every two hours and respond within two hours.
- Replenish unit carts according to scheduled pickup times.
- Restock carts to established par levels.
- Recommend items for reordering based on inventory needs.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of storage areas.
- Label and rotate supplies weekly to ensure proper inventory control.
- Assist with quarterly inventory counts, which may include off-hours or weekend work.
- Safely operate hand jacks and pallet jacks.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB DETAILS
- Pay Rate: $23.79 – $24.74 per hour
- Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
- Shift Schedule: AM | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Days Off: Saturday & Sunday
- Working Days: Monday through Friday
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport with peers and internal customers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of basic office procedures and common office supplies, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to sort documents alphabetically, numerically, or by classification.
- Ability to learn and use new technology systems.
- Basic math skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to safely operate hand and pallet jacks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to use hands for handling, lifting, and operating equipment.
- Ability to occasionally sit as needed.
- Vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
