Job Description

OUR CLIENT:

WVP Health Authority is a longstanding independent practice association (IPA) serving approximately 450 primary care and specialty providers, helping them remain viable, competitive, and focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

WVP’s mission is to empower the local healthcare ecosystem, fostering a resilient community with programs designed to improve access, health outcomes, and long-term patient success. In service of this mission, they provide a range of shared services and infrastructure, including payer contracting, advocacy, credentialing, clinical support services (such as pharmacy, behavioral health, and care coordination), community programs, and health information technology solutions.

THIS ROLE:

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), reporting directly to the Board of Directors, will lead the organization through its next phase of evolution, advancing a physician-powered movement that preserves the independence of community-based care and improves health outcomes across the region.

This leader will work in partnership with the Board to define and execute a clear and sustainable path forward for the organization—aligning strategy, capabilities, and culture to deliver meaningful and measurable impact—while fostering a cohesive, engaged, and high-performing internal team.

The CEO will build strong, trust-based relationships with health plans, hospitals, community organizations, and public sector partners across the region. They will actively engage local stakeholders to strengthen collaboration, align priorities, and advance shared solutions that support independent practices.

This role represents a unique opportunity to make a difference by driving meaningful, measurable progress while operating at the intersection of healthcare delivery, business strategy, and community impact.
