What You'll DoAs the Certification & Education Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting certification and educational initiatives by:Reviewing certification applications for completeness and compliance with established requirements
Providing initial feedback to certification candidates regarding their application materials
Responding to questions via email or phone from members and prospective candidates regarding certification requirements and processes
Delivering exceptional customer service to members, volunteers, and stakeholders
Preparing dockets, agendas, meeting materials, and supporting documentation for certification commission meetings
Assisting with the scheduling, coordination, and promotion of educational programs, webinars, and meetings
Maintaining accurate records and databases related to certification and educational activities
What We're Looking ForBachelor's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of work experience and education
Three or more years of experience in an association, nonprofit, credentialing, certification, education, or related environment preferred
Comfortable working with databases and membership management systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to interact tactfully with professionals at all levels within the association
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
The ability to manage confidential information and sensitive situations with discretion
Strong follow-up, problem-solving, and time management skillsA collaborative, team-oriented mindset
Work Location & TravelThis position is based in APC's office located at: 2800 W. Higgins Road, Suite 295, Hoffman Estates, IL. Candidates must be comfortable working onsite Monday through Friday. Typical office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and on a very limited basis, evenings extending to approximately 6:00 p.m. as business needs require.
