Wage Range: $46.33 - $74.14 per hour
Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.

We are seeking an experienced Diabetes Care and Education Specialist to join our fantastic team.Provides nutritional care services, education and instruction to patients with diabetes and other medical conditions associated with pregnancy. Through education and counseling, provides patients with the ability to self-manage their own nutritional and diabetes care.
Primary Duties:
- Assesses educational needs and provides comprehensive education to the diabetic patients in MFM.
- Anticipates and plans appropriately to address the individual diabetes educational needs of patients and their families as appropriate.
- Promotes good public relations between patient, family members, hospital, and community.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
License, Certification, Education or Experience:
REQUIRED for the position:
- Bachelor's degree in nutrition/dietetics, Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) or other applicable degree
- Registered Dietitian (RD) in good standing with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
- Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)/Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES)
- 1 year of experience in clinical dietetics
- Current CPR Healthcare Provider within 7 months of hire
DESIRED for the position:
- Master's degree
- 2 years of experience working as an outpatient diabetes educator
- 1 year of experience in pregnancy
