The City of Midwest City is accepting applications for Certified Equipment Operator I in the Line Maintenance department. Incumbent operates equipment such as trucks, tractors and mowers, dump trucks, excavation equip. & motorized rodder machinery and uses a variety of power & hand tools in the installation, repair & maintenance of City owned water distribution system & waste water collection system & other public property. Must possess high school diploma or GED equivalent. Must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver's license and be insurable. Must possess and maintain an OK Commercial Class "B" driver's license with Air Brakes and Tanker endorsement and ODEQ Class "D" water and wastewater certifications. Mental alertness and adaptability to office and field area work routines. Previous experience in the water and wastewater field preferred. Excavation equipment, including backhoe or track hoe and shoring equipment is desired. Must be at least 18 years old. This position is designated as safety/security sensitive and is subject to pre-employment, reasonable suspicion and random drug and alcohol screening.
