Job Description

Location: Killingly, CTSalary: $100,000.00 USD Annually - $125,000.00 USD AnnuallyDescription:

Certified Corporate Industrial Hygienist to develop, implement, lead, and audit US IH programs and policies to ensure that all Occupational Health (IH) related programs for all facilities in the USA are implemented and managed to meet regulatory compliance and best practice guidelines responsible for maintaining and continuously improving environmental, health and safety management systems.

Determines sampling strategy and conducts workplace monitoring

Manages the annual IH surveys to be conducted at all US locations, including equipment management, lab coordination, report writing and employee notifications.

Analyze/interpret sampling data results and compares to establish exposure limits (i.e. PELs, Als, STELs, TLVs, etc.)

Assesses new materials coming into the manufacturing environment to determine potential health threats and ensure appropriate precautions are taken for material hazards, regulations and best practices.

Develops and conducts training/mentoring of core IH principles to site EHS engineers and factory employees as necessary.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health/Management, and/ or Certification by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene as a Certified Industrial Hygienist.

2+ years of experience in Industrial Hygiene or related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge of OSHA, NIOSH, ANSI, ACGIH standards and ventilation systems
