Certified Medical Assistant

The successful candidate:

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) performs delegated patient care tasks for an assigned patient population. They will perform clinical tasks as well as administrative duties assigned by the Clinic Manager to facilitate the care of patients. The Certified Medical Assistant performs all responsibilities in accordance with all policy and procedure guidelines. The CMA provides care for all assigned patient populations. They will function under the direct supervision of the Medical Oncologist, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for patient care activities. Their assignments, evaluations, and reporting structure are to the Clinic Manager/Supervisor.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Must be Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) at time of application

  • Current CPR certification with American Heart Association

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of medical/surgical or oncology experience

Skills & Abilities:

  • Prior medical office experience preferred

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
