Job Description
Provider & Clinic Workflow Support
Work closely with assigned physician(s) to support daily clinic operations
Prepare charts and review schedules in advance to ensure efficient patient flow
Anticipate provider needs to minimize delays and optimize clinic throughput
Assist with coordination of care across departments and services
Order Entry & Documentation
Enter orders accurately and timely as directed by the physician
Ensure orders are complete, signed, and routed appropriately within the electronic medical record (EMR)
Identify missing or unclear information and communicate promptly with the physician
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standardsOther Job Duties include : To perform all clinical functions in a physician’s office. Assisting the physician with treatments, obtain specimens from patients and process properly, maintaining medical information and filing/scanning, maintain sample supplies, ordering and maintaining clinical supplies as needed, patient education, obtaining histories and vitals from patients, triage patient calls, prescription refills, call backs for normal or abnormal results as per physician direction, prior authorizations as needed, telephone answering and appointment scheduling as needed.
