Job Description
Certified Medical Assistant - Prestige Staffing is searching for a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant to help in the front and back office. This is a highly customer focused role. - Pay $21-23/hr
- Monday- Friday
- 7:45am- 4:45pm
- Direct Hire role
- High School diploma or GED
- 1.5 years of recent experience in a primary medical, family medicine or internal medicine practice setting are required
- EPIC or Athena experience preferred
- Recent phlebotomy experience required
- BLS required
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant required
- Very detail oriented with procedures and notes in portal
- Injection experience required
- Prefer someone who has done EKGS, cognitive testing, physicals,
- Conducting prior authorizations for patient procedures
- Coordinate care plans and follow up testing
- Conduct thorough intake assessments
- Serve as a primary point of contact, responding to patient needs with care and attention
- Work closely with physician in a true collaborative partnership
- Accurately completing and documenting patient medical and physical histories and other related items in the EMR
- Recording vital signs, performing EKG, spirometry and or other similar non-complex office procedures
- Aiding the physician during treatment, examination, and or testing of patients - may include injections and immunizations
- Coordinating phone requests to refill prescription drug medications in accordance with physician instructions
