Located in Mattawan, MI, Bronson Commons is a 100-bed facility specializing in short-term nursing care and therapy for adult patients. We are proud to have a five-star CMS rating and recognition from U.S. News & World Report as one of the "Best Nursing Homes."

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current Michigan CNA Registry or completion of an approved Nurse Aide Training program with certification within 4 months of hire.
• Obtain BLS Certification within 6 months of hire and maintain it.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatrics preferred.
• PCAs may be considered during a temporary exception; pursuing CNA certification is encouraged.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review care plans with nurses at the start of each shift.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as eating, bathing, and dressing.
• Respond to call lights and assess residents' needs.
• Record vital signs and patient information.
• Turn and reposition residents for pressure relief.
• Communicate resident status and interventions to nursing staff.
• Provide customer service to visitors.
• Serve meals and assist residents with feeding.
• Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and change linens as needed.
• Document patient data in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Working Requirements:

• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to interpret data and communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
• Lift moderately heavy weights (up to 50 lbs) and assist with heavier tasks as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Commitment to safety protocols and ongoing competency development.
