Position Overview
CLFC Healthcare and Communications is seeking experienced Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for travel healthcare assignments at a state behavioral health facility in Evanston, Wyoming. This position provides direct patient care in an inpatient psychiatric and behavioral health setting, supporting residents with activities of daily living, safety monitoring, and therapeutic engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance for behavioral health residents
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, intake/output, and behavioral observations per facility protocols
- Assist nursing staff with therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques in psychiatric care settings
- Maintain patient safety through continuous observation, fall prevention, and elopement precautions
- Support patients during group activities, recreational therapy, and structured daily programming
- Respond to behavioral emergencies following approved crisis intervention protocols
- Document all care activities, patient responses, and notable observations in the electronic health record
- Participate in shift handoff communications and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for residents
- Comply with all state and federal regulations governing behavioral health facility operations
Required Qualifications
- Active Wyoming CNA certification or eligibility for Wyoming CNA licensure by endorsement
- Minimum 1 year of CNA experience in a clinical setting
- Experience in behavioral health, psychiatric, or long-term care preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to pass state and federal background investigation
- Physical ability to perform patient care duties including lifting, transferring, and repositioning patients
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Willingness to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in behavioral health or psychiatric nursing assistance
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification or equivalent de-escalation training
- Experience with electronic health record systems
- Previous travel healthcare experience
- Wyoming residency or familiarity with the Evanston area
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary: $128,000 to $155,000 (travel assignment, all-inclusive compensation package)
