Job Summary: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) to residents in a long-term care facility. The CNA works under the supervision of licensed nursing staff to ensure residents receive compassionate, safe, and high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Measure and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output as directed.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Observe and report changes in residents' physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
- Ensure residents' rooms are clean, safe, and organized.
- Assist with meal setup and feeding assistance when necessary.
- Promote resident comfort, dignity, and independence.
- Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests.
