Job Description

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Long-Term Care

Location: Waterloo, NY 13165 (Huntington Living Center under Finger Lakes Health) Assignment Length: 13 weeks (05/26/2026 – 08/29/2026) Schedule: Monday - FridayCompensation: $1,000 – $1,040/week (Estimated Gross)

Position Summary & Responsibilities

Provide essential daily living assistance to residents, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and skin care.
Maintain a safe and clean environment by responding to call lights and utilizing safety equipment to prevent falls.
Assist residents with meals (tray delivery and feeding assistance) and mobility needs (range of motion, transfers, and positioning).
Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure) and measure intake/output.
Support residents' social and emotional well-being through meaningful interaction and companionship.
Assist with the admission, transfer, and discharge of residents while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
Licensure: Current New York State (NYS) Nursing Assistant Certification is mandatory.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a licensed CNA in a long-term care (LTC) setting.
Certifications: Valid BLS certification (Must be through AHA or RQI).
Availability: Must be able to start full-shift orientation on a Tuesday or Thursday.
Commitment: Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as required.
