Job Description
- Perform daily patient care duties including bathing, feeding, dressing, and assisting with mobility.
- Take and record vital signs, height, weight, and patient history accurately.
- Prepare exam rooms, instruments, and supplies for patient visits or minor procedures.
- Assist providers with examinations, specimen collection, injections, and diagnostic tests.
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as EKGs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing as needed.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Maintain cleanliness and compliance with infection control and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure quality and continuity of care.
- Support team workflows by scheduling, rooming patients, and updating medical records.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in California or Medical Assistant certificate preferred, but not required.
- Minimum one year of experience in a clinical or healthcare setting (hospital, clinic, or long-term care).
- Must have flexible schedule to accommodate coverage needs.
- Must be bilingual Spanish.
- Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
- Proof of MMR and Varicella vaccinations or titers.
- Proof of TB/PPD or Chest X-ray within the past 12 months.
- Current Annual Health Clearance.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of EHR systems and basic medical terminology.
- Must have reliable source of transportation.
