Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Responsibilities
As a CNA, you will play an essential role in helping residents maintain their comfort, dignity, and quality of life.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, feeding, toileting, and mobility.
- Obtain and accurately record vital signs.
- Collect routine specimens as directed.
- Perform restorative nursing activities to promote resident independence.
- Assist with resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests for assistance.
- Complete routine comfort, safety, and drying/checking rounds.
- Accurately record resident intake and output.
- Observe, document, and promptly report changes in resident condition, safety concerns, or potential hazards.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation of resident care.
- Assist visitors and provide courteous customer service while supporting a positive environment for residents and families.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Previous long-term care, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing experience preferred, but not required.
- Current CPR certification preferred.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
- Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional resident care.
