Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) | Full Time

Westminster Baldwin Park, has two open position for a Full Time Cooks to assist in our new Full Service Restaurant. We are a not-for-profit community service organization dedicated and committed to providing services for older adults. 

We are currently searching for a Certified Nursing Assistant-CNA to work in the Health Center.  In this role, the CNA is responsible to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants in accordance with state and federal standards.  This position reports to the Director of Nursing. Schedule: Full Time|1st shit 6am - 2pm

Essential position functions:  

1. Assist patients/residents with Activities of Daily Living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transferring, ambulating, toileting, and other resident needs.
2. Ensure that beds are made; trash has been removed, and a high level of hygiene is maintained in the room.
3. Ensure that meals are served on time and assist residents with meals and feeding, if necessary.
4. Take vital signs and report observations and any change in condition to the nurse.
5. Practice infection prevention and control measures in compliance with Federal, State and facility requirements.  

Qualifications

1. Must be currently licensed in the state of Florida as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
2. Must be CPR Certified.

Experience:

1. One (1) year of long term care desirable. Home Health, Emergency Room experience helpful. Also experience working with developmentally disabled adults. 

Required Skills:

1. Ability to provide direct patient care while maintaining dignity, privacy, and respect.
2. Ability to assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding. 
3. Ability to read, write and speak the English language and understand and follow written and oral directions.
4. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. 
5. Ability to transfer, lift, reposition, and assist residents safely using proper body mechanics and equipment.
