Valley View Village, a Cassia community, is hiring Part-TimeCertified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our dedicated care team. Whether you are beginning your healthcare journey or bringing valuable experience, at Valley View Village you will feel appreciated, supported, and empowered to grow. This is ideal for someone who wants to work a few shifts per week and every other weekend.As a CNA at Valley View Village, you will assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. You’ll also help ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment while working closely with Nurses and fellow team members to deliver high-quality, person-centered care. The ideal candidate is a compassionate and dependable individual who thrives in a team-focused setting and finds purpose in supporting the well-being of older adults each day.Position Type: Part-Time, including every other weekendShifts Available:Day: 6:00 am to 2:30 pmEvening 2:00 pm to 10:30 pmLocation: 2571 Guthrie Ave, Des Moines, IA 50317Certified Nursing Assistant Responsibilities:
- Your main duty is to let the Nurse (your supervisor) know about any changes residents may be exhibiting.
- Helping residents to and from bathrooms.
- Conversing with and comforting residents.
- Answering residents' call buttons.
- Providing residents with drinks and snacks.
- Changing bedding.
- Helping residents change into clean clothing.
- Current IA Nursing Assistant certification required.
- Desire and passion to help aging adults with daily needs.
- Strong communication skills to interact with residents and staff.
- Ability to work a consistent work schedule.
