Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
Location: Richmond, VAPosition: Full-TimeSchedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PMSalary: $60,000 – $70,000 per year
SummaryWe’re hiring a COTA to support occupational therapy services with consistent weekday hours. You’ll help patients work through functional goals, follow established treatment plans, document progress, and collaborate with the OT and clinical team to keep care organized and effective.
Responsibilities
- Follow the OT plan of care and provide treatment services accordingly
- Lead therapeutic activities focused on daily living skills and functional performance
- Adjust activities to meet patient ability while staying within the plan of care
- Document visits and progress in a clear, compliant, and timely way
- Communicate changes in patient status to the supervising OT
- Contribute to a smooth clinic day (equipment readiness, safety checks, workflow support)
Requirements
- Associate degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Active Virginia COTA license
- NBCOT certification
- Strong attention to detail for notes and follow-through
- Team-first communication style and patient-friendly approach
