Your Role

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will:

  • Deliver skilled occupational therapy interventions under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Assist in treating patients with upper extremity and hand conditions, including post-surgical and non-surgical diagnoses.
  • Fabricate and adjust orthoses as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and functional activities.
  • Accurately document patient progress and communicate treatment updates with the clinical team.
  • Collaborate with therapists and support staff to provide outstanding patient-centered care.

Requirements

  • Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license or eligibility for licensure in the state of Texas.
  • Experience in hand therapy is required.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and clinical skills.
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
