Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)Location: San Jose, California (Onsite)Work Type: Full-TimePositions: 1Shift Details• Shift: Day Shift• Schedule: Monday – Friday• Hours: Standard Business HoursThe Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is responsible for providing restorative and rehabilitative occupational therapy services under the direction of an Occupational Therapist.This role supports a participant-centered care model, focusing on improving independence, safety, and quality of life for elderly and frail populations through coordinated interdisciplinary care.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Care• Administer occupational therapy treatment programs as directed by OT• Assist with vital signs, range of motion, and strength assessments• Deliver therapeutic interventions to improve ADLsPatient Care & Rehabilitation• Work with elderly/frail participants with complex medical needs• Promote independence through therapeutic activities• Support cognitive, balance, endurance, and motor function developmentTeam Collaboration• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team (IDT)• Coordinate with therapists and healthcare providers• Support care plan implementationDocumentation & Scheduling• Document therapy interventions and patient progress• Assist with scheduling treatments and clinical visits• Ensure compliance with care plans and documentation standardsMust-Have Qualifications• Associate's Degree – Occupational Therapy Assistant (Required)• Active California OTA License or eligibility (Required)• Minimum 2+ years of OTA experience• Experience working with elderly / frail populations• Strong understanding of ADL-focused rehabilitationPreferred Qualifications• Experience in outpatient, acute, inpatient, or skilled nursing settings• Experience in interdisciplinary care models• Strong patient engagement and communication skillsCore Competencies• Rehabilitation therapy support• Patient-centered care• Communication and teamwork• Clinical documentation• Time managementWork Environment• PACE / Rehabilitation care setting• Onsite role in San Jose, CA• Collaborative interdisciplinary team environmentAdditional Requirements• Must be comfortable working with elderly populations• Must maintain all required certifications and licenses• Must comply with healthcare and regulatory standardsRecruiter Submission Template –Full Name: Degree / Certification with Institution and Completion Year:Do you have an Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant?
