Job Description
We're hiring an experienced pharmacy technician for a contract job where your expertise will directly support pharmacists in delivering exceptional care. In this position, you will play a vital part in ensuring patients receive the medications they need by assembling, stocking, and distributing them with precision and care. Minimum Requirements:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) via PTCB required.
- Colorado Pharmacy Technician license required.
- BLS (AHA) required.
- Experience with sterile compounding required.
- Experience in hospital pharmacy operations covering multiple service areas such as ER, ICU, inpatient, imaging, cath, and hospice.
- Experience using Epic EHR and Pyxis medication dispensing systems.
- Ability to complete department and CSH general orientation; availability during the orientation week in-state.
- Valid driver’s license if working within a 60-mile radius requirement.
- Orientation: approximately 12 hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with Pyxis deliveries, inventory management, outdate processing, monthly outdates, crash cart checks/refills, phone triage, and responding to med messages.
- Experience with both sterile and non-sterile compounding workflows.
- Demonstrated flexibility to work variable shift patterns and alternating weekends.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours include 07:00–17:00 and variable 07:00–17:30 or 10:30–21:00; additional weekend shifts include 08:30–19:00.
- Technicians work a variety of 10-hour shifts and every other weekend.
- No on-call requirement.
- Hospital uses Epic and Pyxis; duties include sterile compounding and coverage across all hospital service areas.
- Hospital-provided laundered scrubs.
- Clinicians may be required to float within the hospital to cover different departments.
