PIMC is one of the largest IHS facilities in the country, serving over 150,000 American Indian and Alaska Native patients from more than 45 tribes across the greater Phoenix metropolitan area and surrounding communities. PIMC provides a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services, including:
- Emergency Medicine
- Intensive Care Unit
- General Surgery
- Internal Medicine
- Behavioral Health
- OB/GYN & Women’s Health

- Pharmacy

- Outpatient Primary Care

- Provide a broad range of professional assistance related to inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services.
- Fill prescription orders.
- Reconstitute and compound medication orders based on patient care needs and following Service Unit policies and procedures.
- Fill clinic and ward drug supply orders.
- Maintain inventory of stock and I.V. bulk solutions.
- Prepackage medication into unit-of-dispensing sizes.
- Clinic and ward inspections.
- Dispense medication refills.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Participate in training and competency activities, including:
- Annual safety and infection control
- Other mandatory training as assigned
- Must possess an active certification from either the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or from the National Healthcare Association (NHA) as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (ExCPT).
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) as approved by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- College-level training experience is desirable but not required.
- Full-time, Contract
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime and weekends as needed
