Certified Pharmacy Technician - Level Care Pharmacy - 10am-7pm

Our new mail order specialty pharmacy is hiring a compassionate, customer service oriented Specialty Pharmacy Technician in Las Vegas, NV. This position is responsible for overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders.

FLSA STATUS:  Non-Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS

 Education:  High School diploma or equivalency.  Clear and Active, State of NV Pharmacy Technician license.

 Experience:   A minimum of one year or more of equivalent experience and/or training. 

 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
2. Ability to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
3. Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements.
4. Must be able to fill out bills of lading and be familiar with various forms that are used and required.
5. Must be able to operate various computer systems. Ability to work effectively with co-workers as a team member.
6. Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred.

WORK SCHEDULE:          Monday – Friday.  May also be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for shipping materials as directed per company policy and according to federal and state standards.  Responsible for filing prescriptions, pulling required documents for audits, maintaining appropriate amount of shipping supplies, closing POS daily as well as other miscellaneous duties to be determined as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (These duties must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.  This document in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position):

1. Assist shipping and receiving, by unloading trucks, and checking in inventory.
2. Read work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed, and/or shipped.
3. Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas.
4. Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to pre-determined sequence.
5. Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for employees.
6. Assemble customer orders and prepare to ship.
7. Mark items to be shipped with identifying information using predetermined method.
8. Open bales or other containers; prepare boxes for shipping to ensure an adequate supply is on hand.
9. Assist in counting of physical inventory.
10. Weigh and count items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards.
11. Prepare parcels for mailing/shipping.
12. File prescription each day per protocol.
13. Pull prescriptions and paperwork required for audits.
14. Process each order through POS daily and close out POS at the end of each day.
15. Follow up with UPS on any delivery exception to ensure that product does not spoil if scheduled delivery is not achieved.
16. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
17. Promptly report any allegations of impropriety to the Compliance Department.
18. Comply with Maxor’s Ethical Business Conduct policy and Maxor’s Compliance Program.
19. Remain free from exclusion under the OIG and SAMS Medicare/Medicaid lists.
20. Complete required training, as assigned, within the established timeframes.
21. Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

4. Willingness to work beyond normal working hours, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary.
