Job Description

Position Overview

NCCH is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part Time Certified Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations. Under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, this role assists with medication preparation, inventory management, billing processes, and overall pharmacy workflow.

Scheduled work dates and hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Workdays may change based on operational needs. Employee may also be required to provide coverage at our sister facility in Benson.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain pharmacy stock, monitor inventory levels, and order medications as needed
Complete billing procedures and ensure accurate patient billing documentation
Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including IV preparation and labeling
Accurately record medication dispensing and scan/label barcodes
Monitor medication administration records and report potential errors
Maintain pharmacy records, reports, and documentation
Support nursing departments with pharmacy needs
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area
Assist with quality data collection and performance tracking

Qualifications – Required

Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program
Current, unrestricted Arizona Pharmacy Technician License
National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB)

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical, nursing, or pharmacy setting

Skills & Competencies

Knowledge of pharmacy operations, medication labeling, and dispensing procedures
Understanding of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers and data entry
Basic computer and software proficiency
Strong communication and teamwork skills
