Position Overview
NCCH is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part Time Certified Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations. Under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, this role assists with medication preparation, inventory management, billing processes, and overall pharmacy workflow.
Scheduled work dates and hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain pharmacy stock, monitor inventory levels, and order medications as needed
- Complete billing procedures and ensure accurate patient billing documentation
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including IV preparation and labeling
- Accurately record medication dispensing and scan/label barcodes
- Monitor medication administration records and report potential errors
- Maintain pharmacy records, reports, and documentation
- Support nursing departments with pharmacy needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area
- Assist with quality data collection and performance tracking
Qualifications – Required
- Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program
- Current, unrestricted Arizona Pharmacy Technician License
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB)
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical, nursing, or pharmacy setting
Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations, medication labeling, and dispensing procedures
- Understanding of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers and data entry
- Basic computer and software proficiency
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
