Job Description
We are looking for a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO / LPO) to provide comprehensive orthotic and prosthetic care within a patient-focused clinical environment. This role supports individuals with mobility challenges by evaluating needs, designing custom solutions, and guiding patients through rehabilitation and device use. The position plays a key role in improving patient outcomes through clinical expertise, education, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients to assess orthotic and prosthetic needs, including physical examination and functional goals
- Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices based on patient-specific requirements
- Develop treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, therapists, and care teams
- Provide patient education on device use, care, and maintenance to ensure optimal outcomes
- Monitor patient progress and make adjustments to devices as needed for comfort and functionality
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory and billing requirements
- Stay current with advancements in prosthetics, orthotics, and rehabilitation techniques
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality protocols, and industry regulations
- Support clinic operations including inventory management, ordering materials, and workflow
Requirements
Certification as a CPO (Certified Prosthetist Orthotist) or licensure as an LPO required
2+ years of clinical experience in prosthetics and/or orthotics preferred
Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and rehabilitation principles
Experience with fabrication techniques and clinical fitting processes
Ability to work directly with patients in a hands-on clinical environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach
Familiarity with EMR systems and clinical documentation requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Orthotics & Prosthetics or related field required
