Job Description
An established and growing professional services firm is seeking an experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join its team.
The firm provides services to small business owners and high-net-worth individuals, including Tax Planning, Tax Implementation, and CFO Advisory Services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation, accounting, and client advisory services, with a passion for helping clients achieve their financial goals.
Major Responsibilities
Prepare and review business tax returns, including Forms 1120, 1120S, and 1065.
Prepare and review individual, estate, and trust income tax returns.
Prepare and review accurate and timely financial statements to support informed business decision-making.
Prepare compilation reports.
Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax filings, including Forms 940, 941, 1099, W-2, and W-3.
Establish and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and consultation.
Utilize tax and accounting software efficiently and adapt to new technologies as needed.
Provide proactive tax and financial guidance to business owners.
Identify tax-saving opportunities and recommend practical financial solutions.
Manage multiple client engagements while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting deadlines.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
6+ years of tax preparation and accounting experience.
CPA license required or actively pursuing certification.
Preferred Skills & Abilities
Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations.
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with tax and accounting software, including UltraTax, Client products, QuickBooks, and tax research tools.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
