Certified Respiratory Therapist ($15K Sign-On Bonus)

Overview:

• Department: Respiratory Therapy • Facility: Resurrection Medical Center • Location: 7435 W Talcott Ave, Chicago, IL 60631• Schedule: 12-hour nights, non-exempt • Starting Pay Range: $33.50 – $45.09 per hour • Sign-On Bonus: $15,000.00

We are seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) / Respiratory Care Practitioner I (RCP I) to provide high-quality respiratory care and pulmonary therapy. This role includes mechanical ventilation management, pulmonary diagnostics, airway management, and emergency response, with accurate documentation of care.

In the absence of a supervisor, the CRT/RCP I may serve as Lead RCP, overseeing operations during their shift.

• Provide respiratory care and pulmonary therapy per physician orders
• Manage mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and airway management
• Perform and interpret arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis
• Conduct pulmonary diagnostic procedures and patient assessments
• Implement patient-specific care plans
• Document patient care, interventions, and outcomes accurately
• Serve as Lead RCP in the absence of a supervisor
• Respond to critical care situations and emergencies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• 1. State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required • 2. Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. • 3. 2 years experience as a RCP preferred. • 4. ACLS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current • 5. NRP certificate preferred • 6. PALS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current. • 7. Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred • 8. High School Diploma or equivalent is required
