Responsibilities:As a Certified Surgical Tech, your primary responsibilities will include:1. Preparing the operating room for surgical procedures by ensuring the equipment is functioning properly and safely.2. Preparing the operating room and the patient for surgery and providing assistance to surgeons during operations.3. Sterilizing all the necessary instruments and equipment before surgery and ensuring that all surgical supplies meet the necessary quality standards.4. Assisting in the management of the patient during surgery and closely monitoring vital signs to ensure the patient's comfort and safety.5. Acting as a circulator by managing the surgical team's needs during operations.6. Assisting in the training of new surgical tech staff members and participating in ongoing educational activities to stay abreast of the latest developments in the field.7. Adhering to all safety guidelines and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.8. Collaborating with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care.Qualifications:The ideal candidate for the Certified Surgical Tech position should have the following qualifications:1. A certified Surgical Technologist credential from an accredited institution.2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical setting, including experience as a scrub, pre-op, and circulator.3. Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.4. Exceptional technical skills, including proficiency with surgical instruments and equipment.5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.6. Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and high level of manual dexterity.7. Knowledge of medical terminologies, surgical procedures, and safety protocols.8. Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.9.
