Chief Financial Officer – Agricultural CooperativeLocation: North-Central North DakotaCompensation: $100,000–$150,000, depending on experience. Relocation: Open to candidates willing to relocate
A well-established agricultural cooperative is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join its leadership team and help guide the organization through its next stage of growth. This is a long-term opportunity with an established operation and a planned leadership transition as the current CFO prepares for retirement in 2027.
What You’ll Do
- Lead long-term financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting with consideration for agricultural commodity cycles.
- Oversee accounting operations, GAAP compliance, internal controls, and grain accounting.
- Manage financial risk related to commodity trading, grain inventories, and market volatility.
- Serve as a key financial advisor to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Manage relationships with lenders, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
- Help ensure the cooperative maintains strong financial health while supporting its long-term goals.
What We’re Looking For
- CFO, Controller, or senior-level financial leadership experience.
- Previous grain accounting experience is required.
- Strong background in agriculture, grain, agribusiness, or cooperatives.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial controls, and risk management.
- Strong understanding of commodity-driven agricultural businesses.
- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
This is a long-term leadership opportunity for an experienced finance professional with a strong agriculture and grain background who wants to play an important role within an established cooperative.
