Chief Financial Officer - PE Backed Healthcare Services Platform (remote)

  • Our client is a mid-sized, investor-backed medical communications agency partnering with global biopharma and pharmaceutical organizations. The firm has established particular expertise in rare and specialty disease areas and supports clients across the product lifecycle.
  • With a team of more than 100 professionals across North America and Europe, the organization delivers integrated scientific and strategic communications solutions. 

The Opportunity

The company is seeking a hands-on, private equity–experienced finance leader to step into the CFO role during a pivotal growth stage.

Prior CFO title experience is not required. The priority is capability: private equity exposure, multi-entity and international financial oversight, and readiness to prepare the business for scale and exit.

Key Priorities

  • Elevate reporting to PE-grade standards
  • Build board-ready financial packages and forecasting discipline
  • Drive audit readiness and internal controls
  • Implement transfer pricing and optimize international structure
  • Complete integration of recent acquisition
  • Support diligence and integration of 2–3 additional acquisitions
  • Prepare financials for eventual sale

The role oversees a distributed global finance team (6 professionals across multiple countries). Travel is light.

Candidate Profile

Required

  • Private equity portfolio company experience
  • Multi-entity, international finance oversight
  • Transfer pricing and cross-border structuring expertise
  • Experience improving reporting rigor and audit readiness
  • M&A integration exposure
  • Willingness to be hands-on

Preferred

  • Experience preparing a company for sale
  • Prior successful private equity exit experience
  • Professional services, agency, or pharma services background
  • CPA, MBA, or equivalent credentials

Compensation

  • Base salary range: $225,000–$275,000
  • Performance-based bonus
