Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Chassis Dyno Operator, Learn and perform daily climatic test cell operation and data acquisition tasks.
  • Become proficient with test cell operations to the point of being able to accurately describe issues that may arise; including some light troubleshooting.
  • Take ownership of the test facility including light cleaning and light equipment maintenance.
  • Work with Engineers to complete detailed test plans on schedule with a willingness to stay over as needed to complete the testing.
  • Assist in performing vehicle part changes/modifications during testing as needed.
  • This position offers varying tasks for the self-starter and requires paying attention to details.
  • Chassis Dyno Prep. Assist with installation of thermocouples on a wide variety of automobile components, installing harnesses, data acquisition and vehicle mock up using prototype parts.
  • A quality mind set is important in completing these tasks correctly the first time.
  • Electronics, Capability of designing, constructing, and repairing wire harnesses for testing.
  • Maintaining test equipment as needed as components will occasionally break.
  • Have the confidence/ability to troubleshoot testing equipment and systems using the proper tools.
  • Assist with other tests/activities as needed.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of automobiles.
  • Experience with data acquisition hardware and software.
  • Capable of working in extreme climates, hot or cold.
  • Strong vehicle/instrumentation skills
  • Light welding/fabrication skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Detail orientated.
  • Strong work ethic.
Preferred:
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Two-year degree in automotive background or related experience.
