- Oversee and monitor cheese production processes to ensure quality and consistency.
- Evaluate product characteristics including flavor, texture, aroma, appearance, and overall quality.
- Inspect and verify raw materials to ensure they meet process and formulation standards.
- Set up, operate, and maintain cheese-making equipment.
- Follow production recipes and established processes accurately.
- Perform quality control checks and adjust production methods when needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe production environment in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Work cross-functionally with production, quality assurance, packaging, and R&D teams.
- Provide feedback on product quality trends and production improvements.
- Train and support production staff on quality and sensory standards.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Experience in cheese production, dairy processing, or food manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to follow production processes and recipes accurately.
- Knowledge of basic machinery operation and maintenance.
- Understanding of food safety and quality standards.
- Strong sensory evaluation skills (taste, smell, sight, touch).
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping ability.
- Ability to work in cold storage environments and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Production facility with refrigerated and ambient temperature areas.
- Requires standing for extended periods and working around machinery.
- Use of protective equipment required.
- Flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, may be required.
