As a Chef, you will help bring that mission to life by preparing high-quality hot and cold food items, following established recipes and standards, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.What You'll DoAs a Chef, you will prepare and serve meals across multiple dining venues while maintaining strong standards for food quality, presentation, sanitation, and timely service.You will:

Prepare hot and cold food items according to established recipes and standards.

Plate food according to presentation, portion, and plating standards.

Complete daily food-production lists.

Set up hot and cold lines for meal service.

Prepare food for multiple dining venues throughout Hillcrest Grand Lodge.

Support meal preparation for the Bistro, Nottingham's, Keswick's, and Memory Support households.

Ensure food is served accurately and on time across all dining venues.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Follow established infection-control and sanitation standards.

Put away food deliveries and ensure products are stored appropriately.

Complete deep cleaning of kitchen equipment as required.

Prepare and coordinate deli tray deliveries.

Follow required food-safety, sanitation, and culinary training standards.

Work collaboratively with culinary team members to keep meal service running smoothly.

Respond to resident and customer needs in a timely, positive, and professional manner.

Assist with additional culinary responsibilities as assigned.

The role combines food preparation, plating, production planning, sanitation, multiple dining venues, and timely meal service throughout Hillcrest Grand Lodge.What We're Looking ForWe are looking for someone who takes pride in their food, understands the importance of presentation, and can consistently deliver quality in a fast-paced kitchen environment.The right candidate will be organized, dependable, and comfortable preparing meals for multiple dining venues while maintaining high standards for taste, appearance, sanitation, and service.Ideal candidates will have:

Previous hotel, restaurant, senior living, healthcare, or high-volume culinary experience.

Strong line-cooking skills.

Experience preparing both hot and cold food items.

Strong knowledge of food-safety and sanitation practices.

Ability to follow recipes, portion standards, and plating guidelines.

Strong attention to detail with food quality and presentation.

Ability to manage multiple food-production priorities.

Strong organization and time-management skills.

Dependability and consistent follow-through.

Ability to remain calm and flexible during busy meal periods.

Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative culinary team.

A service-focused approach and genuine interest in creating a positive dining experience for aging adults.

Willingness to complete required sanitation and professional-development training.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

At least two years of hotel or restaurant line-cooking experience preferred.

Physical & Other Requirements

Must be able to speak, read, and write English.

Must be able to independently lift up to 35 pounds.

Must be able to perform repetitive sitting, bending, standing, walking, reaching, lifting, and movement as needed.

Must be flexible and calm when working in stressful or changing situations.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced culinary environment with strong attention to detail.

Must be able to utilize kitchen equipment, technology, and available resources efficiently and effectively.

Must follow established sanitation, infection-control, and safety requirements.

Other duties as assigned.
