The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for managing the shipment of inventory from a secured area to the production floor. They will perform work under direct supervision of the Inventory Supervisor. This position is based out of our Macon, GA plant.

Responsibilities:

• Pull items from inventory for Pick, Pull, and Ship orders
• Package items using boxes and packaging material
• Weigh and assign freight charge using freight software
• Generate packing slip and apply to package
• Schedule pickup times with transportation carrier
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to Chem-Aqua Safety Policy

Requirements:

SKILLS

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of Oracle a plus
• Knowledge of Chem-Aqua's equipment product offering and assembly process is required
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office a plus.

PHYSICAL

• Must have physical strength and ability to lift up to 40 pounds and carry such a weight for 100 feet.
• Must have good visual ability for close-up observations
• Must have good depth perception and ability to distinguish different colors.
• Must have hearing sufficient to hear verbal and audible signals at a moderate distance.
• Must be conditioned to sustain work in a manufacturing environment that ranges in temperature from 55oF to 95oF.

OTHER

• High School or equivalent
• Must have a valid Georgia State Driver's License.
• Must be able to operate a forklift.
• Must have writing ability sufficient to write correspondence.
• Must have good communication skills to work cooperatively with company employees.
• Employees are required upon hire to pass a physical and drug test.
