With delivery centers and offices across North America and India, we take pride in building long-term relationships and delivering excellence through innovation, collaboration, and integrity.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Chemical Engineer I to join our dynamic team supporting the clients PWP Digital Web Presses in an R&D environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in electro-mechanical troubleshooting, equipment operations, and firmware/software upgrades and a proven ability to diagnose complex issues, implement repairs, and partner with R&D to advance development objectives.Responsibilities:Operate and maintain multiple PWP Digital Web Presses.Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve press and test tooling issues.Install and support hardware, software, and firmware upgrades and revisions.Perform repair, maintenance, and equipment modifications per engineering direction.Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment using plans, manuals, and drawings.Support firmware qualifications and manage upgrade activities.Escalate issues proactively and effectively on behalf of R&D customers.Contribute as a skilled specialist to new concepts and techniques in tooling and process improvements.Required Skills & Qualifications:AA/AS in Business or a Technical field, or equivalent education and related experience.Analytical and mathematical ability with fundamentals in one or more of chemistry, physics, materials science, electronics, or optics.Electro-mechanical experience with large industrial equipment.Proficiency with MS Access, Word, and Excel.Ability to troubleshoot and debug software and mechanical issues on test tools.Effective verbal and written communication, including 1:1 and group presentations.Ability to work in a fast-paced R&D setting with frequent changes.Ability to read electrical schematics.Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout safety procedures.Preferred Skills:Experience with Web Presses or comparable industrial press equipment.Background supporting R&D environments and collaboration with test/manufacturing engineers.Why BCforward?At BCforward, we believe in advancing lives and careers.
