Job Description
Capital Health Plan (CHP) is seeking an experienced Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer to lead and oversee the organization's Corporate Compliance and Privacy Programs.In this executive leadership role, you will serve as CHP's designated Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer, providing strategic oversight of regulatory compliance, privacy, ethics, risk management, and corporate accountability. You will work directly with executive leadership, the CEO, and the Board of Directors to ensure CHP remains compliant with federal and state regulations while fostering a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?This is an opportunity to lead compliance and privacy efforts for one of the nation's highest-rated not-for-profit health plans.You will have direct influence over enterprise-wide compliance strategy, regulatory readiness, privacy protection, risk mitigation, and organizational governance while partnering closely with executive leadership and the Board of DirectorsWHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGAs Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer, you will:Lead and continuously improve CHP's Corporate Compliance Program.Serve as the organization's HIPAA Privacy Officer.Oversee compliance with Medicare, CMS, FEHB, HIPAA, OIG, HHS, and state regulatory requirements.Conduct enterprise compliance risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.Direct audits, investigations, monitoring activities, corrective action plans, and privacy response efforts.Present compliance updates, risk assessments, and regulatory developments to executive leadership, the Audit Committee, and the Board of Directors.Provide practical compliance guidance to department leaders and operational teams.Oversee compliance requirements for delegated entities, vendors, providers, and business partners.Promote a culture of ethics, accountability, integrity, and compliance throughout the organization.WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TEAMRequired QualificationsMaster's degree (MBA, MHA, MPH, or related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience.Progressive experience in healthcare compliance, privacy, auditing, risk management, or regulatory compliance.Strong knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, and compliance frameworks.Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.Preferred QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD), MBA, MHA, MPH, or related advanced degree.Ten (10) or more years of healthcare compliance experience.Health plan, managed care, Medicare Advantage, or payer experience.Experience working with Boards of Directors, Audit Committees, regulators, and external auditors.CHC, CHPC, CIPP, or other relevant compliance or privacy certification.WHY CAPITAL HEALTH PLAN?Capital Health Plan is a locally based, not‑for‑profit health maintenance organization that has served the Tallahassee region for more than four decades.
