Chief Engineer (Hotel Maintenance) – Hampton Inn GulfportFull Time | Hourly (NonExempt)Opening April 2026Hampton Inn Gulfport is seeking a skilled and reliable Chief Engineer to oversee all hotel maintenance and engineering operations. This is a handson role responsible for maintaining the property’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and lifesafety systems, as well as standard hotel laundry equipment.This position does not supervise a team — it is the primary engineering role for the hotel and is essential to ensuring a safe, wellmaintained, guestready environment.What You’ll Do:Perform maintenance and repairs on hotel systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firelife safety).Complete preventive maintenance (PM) on guest rooms, public areas, and backofhouse spaces.Maintain and repair standard hotel laundry equipment (washers, dryers).Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests.Conduct regular property inspections and address issues proactively.Maintain accurate logs, PM schedules, and compliance documentation.Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs.Support hotel opening tasks, punch lists, and system commissioning.Ensure all work meets Hilton brand standards and safety regulations.What We’re Looking For:3–5 years of hotel or building maintenance experienceStrong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lifesafety systemsAbility to work independently and manage daily prioritiesStrong communication and customerservice skillsAbility to work weekends, holidays, and oncall as neededReliable transportationHigh attention to detail and strong problemsolving skillsPreferred (Not Required):HVAC certificationCPO, CCE, or CME certificationsExperience with Hilton or other major hotel brandsWhy You’ll Love Working With Us:You’ll be the expert.
