Chief Industries, Inc Careers - Shipper A

Chief Fabrication is seeking a Shipper A to join the Chief team. This position is responsible for leading and coordinating daily activities of shipping personnel to ensure timely and accurate shipment of products. Prepares labels and documentation, and loads finished products and materials for shipment. Ensures that all outgoing shipments are accurate, properly documented, and handled with care using appropriate equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assign work, monitor productivity, and provide guidance and training to shipping team members.
• Prioritize shipments based on customer requirements, deadlines, and production flow.
• Load trucks, vans, and containers with minimal supervision.
• Maintain accurate shipping records in ERP or shipping systems.
• Resolve shipping discrepancies, shortages, and documentation issues promptly.
• Operate forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist in training coworkers on shipping techniques, quality standards, and safety protocols.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in industrial shipping processes. Operational knowledge of forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment.

Shift:

• 1st Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm
